The reflection and refraction created by light passing through shattered glass was the inspiration for ‘Impact’. Whilst smashed glass is usually associated with destruction, it has an inherent beauty both in the patterns created by the cracks themselves and from light shimmering off of it. These combine to subtly create the appearance of movement and it was this that Jason has attempted to capture and utilize in a positive, constructive form.
